Acts of giving could be seen all over the Brazos Valley.
A Thanksgiving feast fit for a king was served up at Carver Elementary School. Everyone in the community was invited out to partake in the traditional meal.
"The Bryan and College Station Wal-Marts have joined together with Carver and Kemp Elementaries to provide a Thanksgiving meal for the kids and the students and their families and anybody else around this area," said Wal-Mart manager Larry Beavers. "It's for the community, free of charge."
Beavers said by the days end, the event was expected to feed between 500 and 1,000 people.
Thursday's meal was part of a community outreach project by Carver and Kemp Elementaries and Wal-Mart. This is the first year the three teamed up.
