A Brazos County man is dead after a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning near Wixon Valley.
Authorities say 18-year-old David Plagens was headed eastbound on Highway 21 in the westbound lane about four o'clock Sunday morning when he hit a bridge cement barrier.
Plagens pickup burst into flames, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not clear if he was wearing a seatbelt.
Plagens was a freshman at Blinn College.
Another accident, this one in Bryan, caused traffic problems on Highway 47. It happened at one of the city's most dangerous intersections, where 47 intersects Villa Maria.
Two vehicles were involved.
The extent of the injuries suffered is not known, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
