An autopsy conducted on the body of a College Station man found in Waller County is inconclusive.
The cause of death could not be determined for Johnny Stroud, 58, according to Tela Mange, a spokesperson for the Texas Rangers.
Stroud's body was found Sunday on Highway 6, about five miles north of Hempstead. Authorities made the discovery while investigating a vehicle parked behind an abandoned house.
Despite the autopsy results, few details are being released at this time.
The Texas Rangers are investigating what they call a suspicious death.
Stroud worked for Sanderson Farms. He was last seen September 22. A missing persons report on Stroud was filed with College Station police last month.
