Two Bryan women won't see the inside of a prison cell after admitting to cocaine use during pregnancy.
Dollie Green, 32, and Bethany Witzel, 19, received probation after pleading guilty Tuesday to possession of a controlled substance. The charge was enhanced because prosecutors argued the cocaine was used as a deadly weapon against their unborn children.
Both women admitted to using cocaine days before their babies were born. Both children died in 2005 after being born premature.
Green was sentenced to seven years deferred adjudication probation, while Witzel received five years deferred adjudication probation. They will also receive substance abuse treatment.
