Another Record-Setting Food Drive

By  |

Once again, the Brazos Valley has come through for the KBTX Food for Families Food Drive.

Thursday, more than 220,000 pounds of food was donated to the Brazos Valley Food Bank during the one-day drive. That once again breaks the record in this, the 11th year of the event.

Also, just over $51,000 was given in cash and checks from generous individuals and organizations.

For the second straight year, Food for Families eminated from three different locations: the Brazos Center in Bryan, the Kimbro Center in Madisonville, and Mid-South Synergy in Navasota.

We here at KBTX would like to thank each and every person and group for helping stock the shelves of the Brazos Valley Food Bank for yet another year, as well as all the volunteers who assisted with the food drive all day long.

The Brazos Valley has once again proven to be among the most caring communities you'll find. Thank you!
