BROWNSVILLE, Texas -- Police in Brownsville were searching for a ski-mask wearing man who attacked a boy at a school.

The assault happened at Skinner Elementary School, which was locked down briefly after the morning incident. The lockdown was lifted after about an hour, but parents and visitors to the school were asked for identification.

School district police said the fourth-grader was treated by a school nurse for what were believed to be minor injuries. It was not immediately clear what sparked the attack or whether the man and child know each other.
