Harris County Deputies said a Houston area man was involved in a lover's quarrel that turned deadly, and they followed his trail to Bryan.
22-year-old Thomas Ashford faces murder charges in the death of 60-year-old Alfred Nahapetian.
According to investigators, Ashford said he met Nahapetian at an adult video store, then both returned to Nahapetian's home.
Officers said they found Nahapetian nearly a week after he was killed, and a finger print on scene led investigator's to the home of Ashford's aunt in the 3600 block of Choctaw Street, in Bryan.
Investigators said the 22-year-old returned to Harris county willingly, where he admitted to stabbing Nahapetian 30 times after a sexual encounter.
Neighbors said they watched deputies leave with Ashford and tow his car, but they weren't sure why.
"I didn't know to be frank with you, glad that something be done about it. I didn't know and that's just a shock to me that's just a shock to me," said Johnnie Harris.
Deputies said Ashford never lived in Bryan.
