Local Teen Arrested for Aggravated Robbery

A robbery Thursday afternoon caused quite a scare at a Bryan beauty shop.

According to police, a 17-year-old man walked into Family Hair Styles in the 1200 block of William Joel Bryan Parkway around 1:30 p.m.

Bryan police say he lingered a bit and then demanded money at gunpoint.

The suspect got away with a small amount of cash.

The clerk was able to provide dispatchers with a description of the suspect's car and a license plate number.

Bryan Police Officers searched the area and located the suspect's vehicle in front of a residence in the 1600 block of Rollins.

Officers contacted the residents inside where they found the Bryan teen.

The 17-year-old was placed under arrest and taken to the Bryan Police Department for an interview.

The teen is charged with Aggravated Robbery, which is a first degree felony and is punishable by life or 5-99 years in prison and an optional fine not to exceed $10,000.

He also has a warrant for a prohibited weapon.

No one was injured in the incident.
