If your Christmas is missing the cold, you need only to find the Arctic Wolf.
Megan Guynes, the Figure Skating Director at Arctic Wolf Ice Center says from the time you walk into the ice rink you'll know Christmas is in the air.
"There's Christmas music playing and then there's announcements and then we have Santa in the show and so it is an all around great Christmas, good feeling, I'm ready for the holiday (feeling)," Guynes said.
The reason for the huge dose of the holiday spirit is Arctic Wolf's first annual holiday spectacular, Christmas Favorites from Around the World Ice Show.
Skating coach, Yau San Tam and her fellow staffers at the ice center have been preparing sets and practicing routines since July. The premise behind the show is to give the Brazos Valley a global view of the holiday.
"We basically visit different countries and cultures and so it gives a chance to experience a different side of Christmas," Tam said.
The performers in the show are local children and adults enrolled in the Arctic Wolf's figure skating academy. Megan Guynes says the Brazos Valley is the perfect place for their show.
She says the town and Texas A&M University have a lot of people all over the world, and that's the reason why she hopes this holiday spectacular becomes an annual part of Brazos Valley's Christmas tradition.
Guynes says she hopes the show becomes, "Something that everybody does annually like Lighting of the Christmas Tree in the Park and the Snow Hill, something that everyone looks forward to."
