Bryan fire investigators are pursuing a massive fire that broke out at a home last night as arson.
Investigators are on scene today taking samples from the home and interviewing people who were there during the fire.
Flames spewed from the roof of the home on East 25th and Baker around 8-30 last night.
Bryan Fire Chief Mike Donoho says everyone was able to make it out safely, but two people were taken to St. Joe's suffering from heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation. Those people have since been treated and released.
Felicia Rivers says she heard a loud noise just before flames broke out. "My god children and I were sitting on the porch and I thought they were shooting. And as I was getting them in the house my neighbor across the street ran over and said the house was on fire."
A ladder truck had to be used to douse flames coming from the roof.
Chief Donoho said after the roof collapsed it became too dangerous for firefighters to fight the fire from within.

We saw the fire from a block away, and then drove by today. There were several men and women sitting out front shooting the breeze just laughing and messing around. Sure didn't appear to be very worried about their house burning down. If it was arson I hope they get NAILED! This could have caused major damage to the houses that border that property not to mention endangering the lives of our fire fighters.
Hope everyone is ok.
