Navasota ISD is now officially searching for a new school's superintendent.
The school board got word Thursday that Jennings Teel will be taking the superintendent's post in Breckenridge. Teel says he's making the move to be closer to family after four years in Navasota.
Teel's contract ends July 31. After that, Assistant Superintendent Rory Gesch will serve as the interim while the search for Teel's replacement continues.
Where Navasota is searching for a super, Brenham has a new one in place.
Sam Bell is on the job as of Wednesday. The Aggie grad came to Brenham from Hamilton near Waco where he was the superintendent as well.
Bell replaces the retired David Yeager.
