A Bryan resident will spend a year in jail for her role in the death of a Neal Elementary School student.
Wednesday, Cynthia Ann Wright, 46, pleaded guilty to injury to a child due to criminal negligence. In May, 10-year-old Veketrice Crenshaw died from severe head injuries after being hit by a car a block from her home. Crenshaw was in Wright's care at the time.
Wright also agreed to pay $1,900 in restitution.
