If you have a boy between the ages of 10 and 14, he fits the profile for kids most likely to be injured by fireworks.
Last year, 7,000 people were treated for fireworks-related injuries across the country. Of those, 28 percent were related to what many parents consider "safer" fireworks, like sparklers and fountains. But even if parents light the fireworks, a quarter of fireworks injuries among children happen to those who are bystanders.
To prevent serious injury of property loss, follow these guidelines:
*Always have a source of water nearby.
*Only use fireworks as intended, don't bundle or alter them.
*Never relight a "dud."
*Maintain a distance between the shooter and spectators.
*Never consume alcohol while using fireworks.

Someone should have read this article last night. There was an open field that someone caught on fire last night on Jones-Butler that was pretty close to some houses. Hopefully they know or will find who did it and they get a huge fine.
shut up for gods sake... its the 4th of july... if fireworks were banned this year.. then the george bush lib. would have cancelled their show tonight
I don't understand why we are allowing fireworks when we have a burn ban? Does not make sense. The Bombers Baseball Facility, its really scary to watch ambers roll across homes and the area.
