Residents in Navasota celebrated the 4th in tradition. With a parade and a party!
Residents took to the streets in decorated bicycles and go carts.
Even the fire department showed up! Many families participated in the parade and say that it's one of the great things about Independence day.
"Well I think it's time for us to get together and be with family and be able to spend some time with friends as well and be able to appreciate the freedoms that we have," said Bonnie Acosta, who was in the parade.
After the parade, a big celebration was thrown at the Navasota Center. Big inflatable games, a rock wall and even a train were on hand to keep kids entertained.

SO! It is no big deal that Navasota had a parade, so did many other towns in the Brazos Valley. Is this suppose to be big news for KBTX? Obviously it is.
