Waller County Justice of the Peace Dewayne Charleston has been indicted in an alleged bribery scheme.
That makes him the latest official in that Southeast Texas
county to face federal corruption charges.
The U.S. attorney's office in Houston said Charleston is charged
with two counts of federal program fraud and two counts of
conspiracy to commit federal program fraud.
FBI agents arrested Charleston Tuesday morning at his house in
Hempstead, about 50 miles west of Houston. He was ordered released
on a $100,000 bond after appearing before a federal magistrate in
Houston.
Four other Waller County officials have been found guilty of
corruption in the last year.

Could it be that Waller County has some of the most corrupt elected county officials in the state ?? Four as of late. Who is voting for and putting these folks into office ? Do they have "blinders" on when they enter the voting booth ?

Ethics is getting to be much more difficult to find these days. No one seems to care about doing the right thing anymore. Doesn't matter if it's governemnt, business, sports, or whatever.
