An 11-year-old Magnolia boy was in stable condition Wednesday after being shot in the eye with a BB gun.
According to Grimes County Sheriff's officials, the boy was shot in the right eye by his 12-year-old brother on Tuesday night.
He was taken by helicopter to Scott and White in Temple for emergency surgery to try and remove the BB, said officials.
Authorities said the boys had been shooting cans earlier in the evening.
They both live in Magnolia and were visiting their mother in the community of White Hall in Grimes County.
The case is being investigated by the Grimes County Sheriff's office, however, officials believe the shooting was an accident and no charges will be filed.
