CS Residents Also Seeing Door-to-Door Solicitors
Bryan residents aren't the only ones getting visits from door-to-door solicitors trying to sell home security systems.

College Station police say it's also happening to residents there, although they have not received as many calls as Bryan.
Residents say solicitors are using scare tactics, such as crime statistics, to get them to purchase their product. Bryan police say despite information what solicitors are claiming in their sales pitches, residential burglaries in the city are actually down 25 percent this year.
College Station police say residential burglaries are up 62 percent this year, although the numbers dropped to seven percent in June.

I ask them if they have a permit. If they say no or cannot produce one I call CSPD. It is as simple as that. Start doing that your solicitors will go away.

George: I kind of doubt that most of them even have permits, especially the students going door to door asking for people to buy magazines so they can go to Europe or something.

So don't answer your door or put up a sign saying "no solicitation". If they still don't come back, then go yell at them. That always makes them go away!
