It has been a shocking turn of events for a Montgomery family already gripped with fear over the health of their infant twins. In a surprise move Friday, the babies' father was arrested on two counts of felony injury to a child.
It began two days before Christmas when the four month old twins were suddenly afflicted with seizures and vomiting.
Authorities say the babies were taken to Hermann Children's Hospital in Houston where specialists immediately suspected foul play. Doctors told investigators say the infants showed signs of "shaken baby syndrome."
That led to the arrest of the babies father, Joshua Powell, 26. The twins are recovering in the custody of Child Protective Services.
