Wednesday's Winter Weather Closings

Thursday School Delays & Closures:

  • Allen Academy will open at 10 a.m.
  • Anderson-Shiro ISD will start at 9 a.m. Buses will start running at 7 a.m.
  • After The Rain Christian Daycare open at 9 a.m.
  • A&M United Methodist Church Weekday School in College Station will open at 9:30 a.m.
  • Bellville ISD will start at 10 a.m.
  • Blinn College will start on time Thursday.
  • Brazos School for Inquiry and Creativity closed until Friday.
  • Brenham ISD will start at 10:00. Busses will run 2 hours late.
  • Bright Beginning's Preschool open at 10 a.m.
  • Bryan ISD delayed 2 hours.
  • Burton ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Brazos Christian School starts at 8 a.m.
  • Caldwell ISD will start two hours late on Thursday.
  • Calvert ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Centerville ISD will start at 10 a.m.
  • Christ United Methodist School for Little People starts at 10 a.m.
  • College Station ISD delayed 2 hours.
  • Cornerstone Christian Academy delayed 2 hours.
  • Dimebox ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Franklin ISD delayed until 10 a.m. Buses will run two hours late on Thursday.
  • First Christian Mother's Day Out opens at 10 a.m.
  • First Presbyterian Children's Center in Bryan will open at 9:30. All 7:30 staff report at 9:30.
  • Gause ISD start at 10 a.m.
  • Groveton ISD will start two hours later on Thursday; Buses will run two hours later. School will start at 10:00 a.m.
  • Hearne ISD delayed until 10 a.m. Buses will run two hours late on Thursday.
  • Holy Cross Lutheran Learning Center start at 10:00 a.m.
  • Huntsville ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Iola ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Jack & Jill Preschool in Bryan open at 8:00 a.m.
  • KinderCare Learning Centers of Bryan/ College Station open at 8 a.m.
  • Kingdom Kids Preschool & CDO at Grace Bible Church delayed 2 hours
  • Longmire Learning Centers delayed 2 hours.
  • Loving Tender Care Daycare will open at the regular time; 6:30 a.m.
  • Madisonville ISD will start two hours late.
  • Milano ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Montessori School House opens at 9:30 a.m.
  • Navasota ISD delayed until 9 a.m.
  • Normangee ISD will start at 10 a.m.
  • North Zulch ISD delayed until 10 a.m.
  • Parkway Baptist W.E.E. School open at 8:15
  • Richards ISD will start at 10:00 am
  • Round Top-Carmine ISD will start two hours late. The elementary will start at 10:15 a.m. and the high school will start at 10 a.m.
  • Sonshine Station Christian Learning Center in Bryan opens atl 10:00 a.m.
  • St. Anthony's Mother's Day Out opens at 10:30 a.m.
  • St. Joseph Catholic School System delayed until 10:00a.m
  • St. Joseph Eagle's Nest Daycare opening 10 a.m.
  • Saint Michael's Academy PreSchool and K-12 school will re-open at 10:00 am.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas Child Development Center will open at 10 a.m.
  • St. Thomas Early Learning Center of College Station delayed 2 hours.
  • Snook ISD will start at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday's basketball game has been rescheduled for Thursday night.
  • Somerville ISD delayed until 10:00 a.m. Buses delayed two hours.
  • Somerville ISD school board meeting postponed until Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Southwood Learning Center will open at 9:30 a.m.
  • Texas A&M University will open Thursday at 8:00 a.m.
  • Texas A&M Health Science Center in College Station and Temple will open at 9:00 a.m.

    Other Thursday Delays & Closures :

  • AMS Services, College Station, will open at 10 AM
  • Association of Former Students at Texas A&M open at 10 a.m.
  • Burleson-Milam Coop delayed 2 hours.
  • College Station Collection Schedule - College Station recycling collections will begin collecting Thursday per the regular schedule. Tuesday and Wednesday recycling routes were not collected due to the weather. No make-up is scheduled.
  • College Station garbage collections will continue to operate one day later than regularly scheduled due to the Martin Luther King holiday.

  • College Station offices of AMS Services will open at 10 a.m.
  • McCord Engineering, Inc. open at 9 a.m.
  • Senior Center of Walker County will open at 9:30 a.m.
  • State Bank Bryan/College Station branches are closed until 11:00am Thursday
  • Texas A&M Foundation will open at 10:00 a.m.
  • Navasota’s residential garbage collection will resume its regularly scheduled days beginning Thursday, January 18 and Friday, January 19. Call Public Works at (936) 825-6450 for more information.

    Road Conditions:

    The following is the Thursday 4:30 p.m. update on roads from the Texas Department of Transportation:

    All 10 counties (Brazos, Burleson, Freestone, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, Walker, and Washington) are getting back to normal. No reports of ice anywhere in the District. TxDOT has been out cleaning the bridges and overpasses of any slush. This cleaning process will continue next week.
