The body found in South Brazos County a week-and-a-half ago is that of a missing College Station man. Now, the search is on to find out how Demetrius Browder ended up where he did.
An autospy confirmed it was the 36-year-old found dead back on January 11. Browder, who also went by the nickname Dee Dee, had been missing since October 24.
A Navasota resident found the badly-decomposed body west of Navasota in a culvert along FM 159. The autopsy also confirmed Browder died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Initially, authorities thought they were dealing with a female because of a sequined piece of clothing on the body, but it turned out to be a t-shirt typically worn by men.
The Brazos County Sheriff's Office will be the lead investigators in Browder's death. Call them at 361-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 775-8477 if you have any information.
