The investigation into the shooting at a Bryan apartment complex has taken another twist. Two days after the bizarre incident, the man who attempted to take his own life has succeeded.
Bryan police say Jamaal Fletcher, 22, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, a little more than 48 hours after he shot himself in the head. His suicide attempt came just after authorities arrived on the scene of another shooting.
Fletcher and 19-year-old Terry Allen were reportedly arguing outside the Reveille Ranch apartments when Fletcher shot Allen in the wrist. BPD is still trying to determine a motive in the shooting.
A drug-related arrest of a roommate, Jeffrey Addai, was made after marijuana and cocaine were found in their apartment.
