The American Red Cross is urging Brazos Valley Residents to give blood, as all blood types are critically low.
The Red Cross said blood supply was affected by schools closing, winter vacations, and the ice storm that swept through the area.
O and Rh negative blood types are at the most critical levels.
For those interested in donating blood, Bryan High School will be hosting a blood drive February 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
To get more information about the blood drive or to schedule an appointment to donate blood, call 1-800-GIVE LIFE.
