One last round of rain & thunderstorms is moving through the Brazos Valley tonight -- along and ahead of an approaching cold front. Winds upwards of 40mph will be possible along & ahead of this activity. The winds subside once the rain begins, however, a quick 0.25" of an inch of rain is possible and dime size hail cannot be ruled out. These storms should be south of the Brazos Valley by 2am.
They were off the streets and on the court Friday practicing their chicken racing and hamster rolling skills.
Police and fire chiefs from Bryan and College Station were rehearsing at Reed Arena for "Heroes Night" which takes place on Tuesday, January 30th.
During the half time of the Texas A&M woman's basketball game against Oklahoma State, officials from both cities will be competing against each other in various events.
This is the second year the two cities have participated in the event.
"People coming out to the basketball game had a good time watching us and it's all in the interest of good fun and rivalry between College Station and Bryan," College Station Assistant Police Chief Scott McCollum said. "We hope everyone will come out on Tuesday night."
Starting at 5:30 p.m. the public will be able to meet K-9 teams, view police cars and fire trucks outside Reed Arena.
