(Washington, D.C.) –U.S. Representative Chet Edwards today announced details for his three regional town hall meetings in Brazos, McLennan, and Johnson counties. The first will take place in Brazos County on Wednesday August 26th, the second in McLennan County on Saturday August 29th, and the third in Johnson County on Friday September 4th.
Edwards said, “The issue of health care is vitally important to our families, businesses and nation’s future. By having open, honest and respectful discussions, I hope we can further the cause of protecting the strengths of our present health care system while addressing the concerns of rising health care costs.”
Congressman Edwards held a telephone town hall meeting on Thursday August 20th from 6:30-8:00pm with nearly 20,000 constituents participating in the call from all twelve District 17 counties.
Questions for the town hall will be selected at random by an independent third party in a lottery system. District 17 Constituents who want to ask questions will fill out cards as they come in, and they will be called on randomly to ask their question. They are getting away with censoring their town halls. No cellphones allowed. Presceened questions by "independent 3rd party". This is a big pile of stinking BS. Is he also going to bus in ACORN and SEIU like obama does? People get there early early. Edwards has got to GO! Here are my questions Mr Edwards: You admit you have not even read the bill yet, so how can you answer anything?? If you had read the bill I would ask several other questions but since you haven't that is redundant. So Q#2: What does Pelosi have on you and others that you are more fearful of Pelosi than your constituants??? My guess is that if you vote against this socialist regime like your voters want, some damaging info will leak out and your career will be ruined. So you figure if you are voted out at least you will get to keep all of your benefit package. This scenario explains the reason why you and other are JUST NOT LISTENING!!! Mr Edwards, You are just a Pelosi Puppet. Man-Up.

George - so you are against spending tax dollars to rent out Reed Arena so our voices can be heard against the health care fiasco, but you have no problem with our tax dollars being confiscated so that tens of thousands of people (including illegal immigrants) who should be taking care of their own needs like the rest of us (republicans), can benefit from the hard work and sweat of others to cover their problems? And you think Eric and Kyle are out there? One more thing. Please don't bash those to whom you don't agree with, and then have the gall to toss out a phrase like "brush up on the Bible". I would suggest you take your own advice on that one - that is, if you even own a Bible.
