HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- Condemned killer Christopher Swift has been executed Tuesday night over the 2003 deaths of his pregnant wife and her mother.
The victims of the Dallas-area attacks were Amy Sabeh-Swift and Sandra Stevens Sabeh.
Evidence showed Swift's five-year-old son watched as the parolee stabbed and strangled the boy's 27-year-old mother in the family recreational vehicle in Irving. Then Swift took the couple's child to a mobile home park in Lake Dallas and strangled his 61-year-old mother-in-law at her residence.
Prosecutors say Swift had a history of alcohol abuse and drug use. He'd quit a new job at a concrete company because they asked him
to take a drug test -- and authorities believe that sparked a fight with his wife that led to the killings.
Swift was the third Texas death row inmate to be executed this year.
