As an upper-level weather maker swings into Texas, numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to remain scattered across the Brazos Valley. A few storms could be strong -- with heavy rain, thunder, & occasional lightning -- however, this activity is not expected to become severe. Rain chance will remain in place through mid-morning to midday Friday.
For the 24th year in a row, Aggies will be teaming up to help people in need who live in the Brazos Valley. Plans for this years Big Event are underway and organizers are looking to round up a team of workers.
Organizers are inviting local residents to register projects they would like to have considered. They are also asking Aggies to sign up for the volunteer work to do the projects.
The 24th annual Big Event is set for Saturday, March 24.
Requests for projects can range from painting houses and other household handy work, to picking up trash in public areas. If you have a need it must be filed by February 23.
Participation forms are due by March 2.
