College Station's crackdown on drugs has landed a pair of teens in jail after a major find.
Acting on a warrant Wednesday afternoon, authorities searched the Gilchrist Avenue home of 19-year-olds Dane Ohlen and Jason Brassfield. Authorities say Brassfield fled the home when they arrived, but after he was caught, police turned up $10,000-worth of hydroponic marijuana, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, and $6,400 cash.
Ohlen and Brassfield each face a trio of charges. Their alleged crimes also occurred within a thousand feet of College Hills Elementary, a designated "drug free zone."
Both Ohlen and Brassfield are listed as Aggie students by the Texas A&M website.
