Local School District Sells Stadium Naming Rights

Most professional football teams have sold off the naming rights to their stadiums, but few high school stadiums have. You can now put Conroe ISD in that small group.

The school board approved a contract with Woodforest Bank for $1 million over 10 years. In return, the district's new 10,000-seat stadium will be named after the bank.

Oak Ridge, The Woodlands, and College Park High Schools will all be playing in the stadium, which is set to be completed by August 2008.

The school board's vote was 5-to-2.
