A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect until midnight for Lee County. Strong thunderstorms will continue to be possible, across the Brazos Valley, this evening. Winds in excess of 40-60mph are the main concern, within the strongest activity.Heavy rainfall between 1" and 3" has the potential to cause localized flash flooding in a few locations.
A prominent portion of a downtown Bryan street will be shut down this weekend as part of on-going construction.
William Joel Bryan Parkway between Main Street and Parker Avenue will be closed starting Saturday in order to install storm sewer lines.
It's all a part of Phase 2 of the Downtown Master Plan, which focuses mainly on Bryan Avenue, but also includes some improvements to Main and Parker.
City officials expect the road to be reopened to traffic by Monday.
