Hillsboro police say a Grayson County College basketball player died last night after collapsing during halftime of his team's game.
Hillsboro police Corporal Kyle Cox says Mike Ndiribe collapsed in a locker room during a game at Hill College.
An ambulance took the 18-year-old to Hill Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later. A cause of death was not released.
A roster on the Grayson County College Web site lists Ndiribe as a six-foot-eight, 210-pound freshman from Fort Bend.
The game was suspended at halftime.
