A two-year-old girl who was hit by a car near a College Station Park was listed in critical, but stable condition Monday.
The toddler was hit near Edelweiss Park about 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
According to police, a mother and her three children were leaving a soccer match at the park and returning to their vehicle parked on Victoria Avenue.
The little girl got away and ran into the street, where she was hit by an oncoming driver.
The toddler was taken to College Station Medical Center and was transferred to Scott and White in Temple Sunday night.
Although the investigation continues, police said it appears to be an accident.
