One of the country's top conservative commentators made a stop at a local function.
Syndicated talk show host Laura Ingraham was the keynote speaker at the Coalition for Life's annual fundraiser. The former speech writer for Ronald Reagan has hosted her own radio program since 2001, including on local radio station, WTAW.
A staunch pro-lifer, Ingraham addressed the upcoming campaign season.
"On the issue of life, it seems that so many of the candidates out there who are front-runners are kind of running away from the issue, not addressing it and skirting around the issue when they're forced to talk about it, and I think that's a mistake," Ingraham said.
It's the second straight year Coalition for Life has had a prominent conservative speaker. Alan Keyes made the address last year.
