A two-day shopping spree that will help raise money for the community got underway Friday evening. The Junior League is hosting their annual Bargain Blitz at the Brazos Center.

The public was invited to the event early Friday evening to do some shopping, but to mostly preview sale items. On Saturday, the Bargain Blitz doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 3 p.m.

Admission into the shopping event is $1. All the proceeds raised will benefit the Junior League's community projects, such as the Stuff The Bus and Opportunity Knocks.
