Bryan Middle Schools to Grandfather In Students

Parents of middle school students who own or rent property in the Bryan school district will still be able to choose what middle school their child attends.

The decision comes Monday after Bryan school trustees approved a plan to grandfather in residents that live in Tiffany Park, Park Hudson and Wheeler Ridge. The recent middle school rezoning decision put those residents in the Stephen F. Austin transportation zone.

If the decision sounds familiar, that is because it follows the rezoning plan which already allowed for a school choice provision.
