A pregnant woman was one of several with minor injuries after an accident on Villa Maria near Carter Creek Monday.

Bryan police say a truck was going too fast and couldn't stop in time to avoid the cars waiting at the light at Carter Creek. It happened around 4:15 p.m. Monday.

The truck hit a van causing a chain reaction. Four cars in total were involved.

While police were clearing the scene, traffic had to be rerouted through the Blockbuster parking lot.

A pregnant woman was in one of the vehicles hit. She was taken to St. Joseph as a precaution. According to police Monday night, all of her ultra sounds came out normal. The baby was uninjured.

Two others in the accident reported minor injuries.
