Bikes big and small are on sale. $30 a piece, in whatever condition you find them.
The Surplus Property Office at Texas A&M is selling more than 800 bicycles that were found abandoned on campus.
The Surplus Office is located on Agronomy Rd.
The bikes were collected last May and went unclaimed. It wasn't just college students who were looking for a cheap ride around campus.
"This is for me, this is me," says Chris Framstead, "Just to have something to ride around the neighborhood with the kids. The price is great and gets it off the hands of the university"
The bike sell goes on until Christmas or when they run out of bikes. As the selection dwindles the prices will drop too!

Yes, Joey I can beat this "deal". I bought 3 bikes last week for a total of $40 and every single one of them was better than the rusty heaps at Surplus. They pull the best ones and auction them off, usually selling for more than they would from an individual. I saw them BEFORE they were up for sale, and there were no bargains then. What's left after 2 days of picking is the (rusty) bottom of the barrel.
The bikes are down to $20.00 and there are still some good ones left. You really cant beat this deal.
The pickens are pretty slim. Lots of bikes, but most are not worth $30 dollars.
