A Jewett woman missing since Wednesday was found early Friday morning.
According to police, a local resident found Joy Thomas, 71, around 7:30 a.m. sitting by a swimming pool two blocks from her home.
Thomas has a history of heart problems and cancer and was wearing a medical alert button. She also had a cell phone with her that was turned off.
Leon County officials said Thomas was disoriented when she was found and was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
Officials said she wondered from the home she shares with her son sometime between 8:30 Wednesday night and 1:30 Thursday morning.
