College Station D.A.R.E. Graduation Held

The annual Drug Abuse Resistance Education or DARE graduation was held at Rudder Theater at Texas A&M on Friday.

After completing the ten week course, College Station fifth graders graduated with honors.

During the course, students learn about the harmful effects of tobacco, marijuana, inhalants and alcohol.

Senior Officer Karla Wiesepape and Master Officer David Fallwell from the College Station Police Department are both certified D.A.R.E. instructors and along with other school officials recognized the graduating students

Also recognized were the winners of a D.A.R.E. essay contest.
All present were also treated to the music of the Texas Twisters who provided the entertainment.

The College Station Police Department also thanked Ms. Adrienne James and the Texas A&M University Offices of the Dean of Student Life organization for helping to sponsor this event.
