PLANO, Texas (AP) - Frito-Lay recalled 92 cases of mispackaged chips that could pose a threat to people with food allergies.
The Plano-based company announced the recall of about 5,500 bags of Fritos Original Corn Chips that were distributed in Texas and Louisiana.
The bags are marked as Fritos Original Corn Chips but may contain Fritos Chili Cheese Flavored Corn Chips.
The chips could cause a serious reaction for people who are allergic or sensitive to milk or wheat.
The affected bags are dated May 8th on the upper right hand side of the package and have a 10 digit code number of 62730483692, 62730483592 or 62730483992 beneath the date.
Consumers can return the product where they bought it, or they can contact Frito-Lay Consumer Affairs at 1-800-352-4477.
