For Some, Break Begins by Improving Humanity

Some local residents kicked off spring break by picking up paint brushes.

Habitat for Humanity volunteers spent Saturday working to complete homes in the Angel's Gate Subdivision.

Among the volunteers hard at work were KBTX employees.

"We get to be a part of somebody's dream, the building of their house," said Jon Boaz, a KBTX anchor. "And it is just a whole lot of fun."

News 3 workers and other volunteers were assisting the Mendez family of Bryan. The family was working to finish painting the inside of their new home.
