Unless you've lived in the Brazos Valley for a while, you may not know that at one time the giant letters spelling out "Kyle Field" on the outside of the Aggies football stadium used to light up at night. Now a group called Ags For Kyle believes its time the stadium come out of the dark age.
They're trying to raise $150,000 to illuminate the Kyle Field letters once again. Only a week into their effort, they've already raised $1,300.
The group believes lighting up the letters will bring back some fond memories for local residents. "Seeing the letters relit will really bring them back and remind them what BCS used to look like and what Kyle Field used to look like at night," said Andrew Pfister, Ags For Kyle Organizer.
The group's goal is to have the new letters shining bright by next year's home opener.

Why light up the field, when there's no football team right now?
