Milam County Sheriff's deputies had a busy night Monday evening because of heavy rain, and they could see more of the same.
Several motorists were left stranded because of high water.
The first incident happened at Pond Creek near the Baileyville Community where a man hunting with his girlfriend and was trapped by rising waters. He was later rescued.
Another vehicle was swept away just outside the Marak community. The two occupants were able to escape the sinking truck, but one was treated for cold water exposure.
