A Texas A&M administrator is once again a candidate for a presidential position.

Executive Vice President and Vice Provost William Perry is one of three finalists to become Eastern Illinois University's president.

Perry has been at A&M since the early 1970s when he joined the school as a math professor. He has served in his vice provost role since 2001.

Perry is scheduled to travel to EIU this weekend to interview for the job.

Early last year, Perry was among three finalists for the presidency at West Texas A&M.
