A Bryan man is in Brazos County jail after a traffic stop turned into a drug arrest Sunday morning.

Police arrested the driver for driving with an invalid license. But the man's passenger faces stiffer charges.

Travis John McDaniel was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm after police found him with a gun.

Officers also found more than 4.5 grams of methamphetamine. McDaniel, 33, is charged with second-degree felony drug possession.
