Jury selection started Monday in a Milam County dog mauling case.

On November 26, 2005, Lillian Stiles was mauled to death by six pitbull rottweiler mixed dogs.

The dogs' owner, Jose Hernandez, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.

On a side note, Lillian Stiles' family helped introduce a bill to the Texas Legislature last month that would allow dog owners to face felony charges if a person is attacked, injured, or killed by their pet.

Opening statements are expected to begin as early as Tuesday morning.
