Bryan's two soon-to-be-built schools now have mascots and colors.
Rudder High School students will be known as Rangers. Their colors will be blue and green, though the shades of those colors and the logo and mascot designs have yet to be determined.
That also goes for Davila Middle School, where they will be known as the Texans. Their colors will be red, white and blue.
In addition to deciding on mascots and colors, the Bryan school trustees also are clamping down on cell phone use. Starting next year, Bryan High School students will only be allowed to use cell phones during lunch.
Previously, they were able to use their phones anytime outside of classes, but a committee of parents and faculty members say tardies due to cell phone use were on the rise.
