A joint investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety has landed two alleged copper criminals behind bars.
Following a rash of burglaries resulting in thousands of dollars in stolen copper wire, 23-year-olds, Christopher Breedlove and Laquita Nickerson are in the Washington County Jail. Bond for each man is set at $35,000.
Authorities say both men are cooperating with law enforcement and that other arrests are possible.

I JUST HOPE THE CELL THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BE IN DOESNT HAVE ANY COPPER WIRING OR ANY OTHER EXPENSIVE PRECIOUS METALS. WOULDNT THAT BE IRIONIC, TO RIP OUT EVERYTHING IN YOUR CELL, AND THE GUARD COMES BY, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WIRING IN HERE?"
