A non-profit organization is trying to raise money to illuminate the letters outside Kyle Field. Ags for Kyle planned to sell t-shirts before the Texas A&M versus Iowa State football game Saturday.

The group's president, Andrew Pfister said he was notified Thursday afternoon that Ags for Kyle would not be allowed to sell t-shirts on game day due to a pre-existing contract. Friday, A&M said the university has a contract with Barnes and Noble.

The contract allows only the bookstore to sell Aggie related t-shirts on game days. Ags for Kyle says their not giving up on trying to reach their $150,000 goal. They've already raised $1300.

The group plans to sell t-shirts in front Aggieland Outfitters on George Bush Drive before the A&M versus Iowa State game.

Is there somewhere we can make donations in town if we can't make it to Ag Outfitters on Saturday?

I will not shop at Barnes and Nobles. They do not have the interest of Bryan, College Station or Texas A&M only there back pockets.I remember how attractive Kyle field was when these lights were on. Especially when flying in to Easterwood. They can make this right by making a sizeable donation to this cause. Bet they do not.

Geez...with all of the charities in the area having shortfalls this year, this group of nice people decide to raise money to light up the letters of Kyle Field. Would this help the Ags sell more tix??? Do something worthy for charity. Eventually, an alumni or us tax payers will light up those letters. Scotty's House, United Way, Cancer research, your local churces, etc could use the money a heckuva lot more. The University has money, thanks to alumns and tax payers. Let the University pay for it if they see fit.
