The local cable company and community are joining forces to help one of its own.
Suddenlink Media is hosting a benefit for commercial producer Ace Brooks on Saturday, March 31 at Arena Hall off Tabor Road.
The barbecue benefit starts at 11:30 a.m.and includes live entertainment and raffles.
Suddenlink is raising money to pay for Brooks' medical bills until he hits long-term disability status.
Brooks was diagnosed with throat cancer and also suffers from heart-related problems.
