Regents Approve Tuition Hike

Aggies may soon be digging a little deeper into their pockets to pay for college. The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents voted Friday to increase tuition 13% by Fall 2007.

A Texas resident with a fulltime course load would pay $3,922 per semester. That is up from the current $3,000. School officials say the tuition increase would generate $32.4 million. The exact tuition increase will be decided by the Texas Legislature in May.
